Reporting and Model Analysis in Eureqa Desktop
Here you can generate two kinds of reports or employ various analysis tools. Select the desired report or tool from the "Select task" drop-down menu, and the necessary controls will appear.
This report gives general information about the search and about the most accurate formula at each level of complexity. There are screenshots of the Enter Data tab, the Prepare Data tab, the Start Search tab, and the View Results tab. Also, for each formula there's a solution plot and a plot showing where that formula sits in comparison to other formulas with respect to accuracy and complexity.
Formula Details Report
This report lists the top-performing formulas, in a variety of formats, along with their sizes (i.e., complexities) and their levels of error as measured by whatever error metric is in effect.return to top ⇑
Evaluate Model Values From a Data Set
This tool displays the precise values that are generated by applying a formula to a data set. Enter a formula in the "Expression" box, select the desired data set, and click "Run".
Plot Model Values From a Data Set
This tool generates the plot of an expression evaluated over your data set. Enter the desired expression in the "Expression" box, and click "Run". If the expression is an equation, the left and right side will be graphed independently—the right side in red, the left side in blue.
Evaluate and Predict Values
This tool allows you to see what a formula predicts for values outside of your data set. Enter the desired formula in the "Expression" box, then enter values in the spreadsheet for all variables on the right-hand side of the formula. Hit "Run" and you'll get both a plot and the numeric results.
Run benchmark on current project
This tool performs repeated searches and reports various statistics related to the fitness achieved and the time required to achieve that fitness. It's mainly for developer use, but we've included it here in case you have some use for it, perhaps as a way of comparing the performance of Eureqa on different machines.return to top ⇑
